What I would like to be able to do is leave the DNS ad-blocking filters turned on, but turn off the DNS routing when I'm home to use the local DNS server and switch back on when I'm away to use another DoH server. I also use the AdGuard filtering to block ads. Open-source, free and from a privacy foundation, it is more trustable than AdGuard. Instead use the Quad9 DNS profile, it doesn’t take a VPN slot, it is the good way to manage another DNS config on iOS.

When I'm away from home, I use AdGuard to route my DNS requests to another DoH server, say, Cloudflare. But since Lockdown does better, because you can custom it, and needs a VPN slot, I would recommend you to delete the AdGuard DNS VPN profile. On streaming services, ad blocking can cause issues, so I leave it wide open for our Apple TVs and I use AdGuard filtering on the phones, iPads, and laptops. For compatibility reasons (mainly my wife ), there is no ad blocking system-wide at home, so ad blocking is done at the device. I have a DNS caching/forwarding server at home that handles DoH for the entire house. In its current form, it disables the entire functionality, but would it be possible to still have the filtering enabled while disabling the DNS routing? I have a request re: the setting to turn off AdGuard DNS on specific networks. Thanks for all the great work on AdGuard for iOS.
